Parker, Diana Medley

Diana Medley Parker, 50, of Pulaski, died Friday evening, February 27, 2009 in Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born July 2, 1958 in Washington, D.C. and is the daughter of Shirley David Medley and Bennett R. Medley. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Abraham and Frania Medley, her mater grandparents, Lucille Nunn Davis and Lloyd Davis, and her stepgrandmother, Stella Davis, and a grandchild, Sylvia Parker.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel E. Parker; a son, Ronald Eugene Parker, of Vinton, Va.; her daughter, Dorothy Ashley Wilson, of Pulaski; two brothers, Richard Medley, of Chatham, Va. and William E. Medley and his wife, Dee, of Pulaski; one sister, Teresa Shelburne, of Salem; her parents, Shirley David Medley and Bennett R. Medley, both of Dublin. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Candice Leigh Parker, of Blacksburg and Chaley Diana Wilson, of Pulaski; and two special friends, Drema Gail Williams and Ruth Hughes.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 2, 2009 at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons at 2 p.m. , with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will follow in Thornspring Cemetery.
