Phillip Edgar Parcell, 88 of Rich Creek, VA departed this life in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on December 4, 2022. Born in Giles County, Virginia on May 1, 1934, he was a son of the late Ernest Parcell and Ruth Perdue Russ.

Phillip gave his life in service while working for Lights Service Station. In his life he shared beauty with others in leather working or metal working. His spirit was driven most by his family, but if knowing him one would often hear a story or could find Phillip in the mountains with his brothers.

In addition to his parents, Phillip is preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Lynn Meadows; step-daughter, Jo Ann Harless; and brother, Lloyd Parcell.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his wife, Frances Clemons Parcell; sons, Tony Parcell (Deb) of Narrows, VA, Gregory Alan Parcell of Narrows, VA; step-son, Harry Harless (Jeanie) of Rich Creek; step-daughter, Sharon Loving (David) of Pearisburg, VA; grandchildren, Adrian Parcell (Brittney), Emily Parcell, Joshua Parcell (Laci), Nichole Byrd (Marcus), Joe Parcell (Molly Correll), Jason Blankenship (Bridget Hutson), Remington Arroyo, Seth Chambers, Conner Chambers, Ethan Chambers, Kayden Parcell, and Jessup Parcell; great-grandchildren, Marlee Songer, Noah Parcell, Keeghan Byrd, Kaled Byrd, Lulu Byrd; step-grandchildren, Barry Wayne Harless (Desi), David Joe Akers, Tara Lynn Thompson, Tabitha Akers, William Harless (Kaitlin), Katrina Meadows (Russell), Bobby Ray Thorne, and Victoria Thorne; 15 step-great grandchildren; brothers, Don Parcell of Narrows, Billy Bonds (Betty) of Peterstown, Eric Parcell of Narrows, VA, and Jerry Wayne Parcell (Alinda) of Vinton; brother-in-law, Chuck Reedy (Evelyn Clemons); and many other family members.

The family will receive friends at Kendall Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. There will be a funeral service conducted on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Robertson officiating. Funeral Services will conclude in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Wolf Creek, Virginia.
