Parcell, Norma Meadows

Norma Gaye Meadows Parcell, 83 of Goldbond, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Norma was born in Oakvale, WV. On November 19, 1936 to the late John Hubert and Lillian Elizabeth Whitlow Meadows.

Along with her parents, Norma is preceded in death by a infant son, Kevin David Ganoe, Sisters, Mildred Caldwell, Delphia Izso and Bonnie Davis and Brothers, Jack Meadows, Don Meadows and Mickey Meadows.

Norma was a graduate from Oakvale High School and was a former employee of Dutton Drug in Narrows and both sewing factories in Narrows. After her marriage to Emory Donald Parcell on January 26, 1962, they were lifelong residents of the Wolf Creek Community in Narrows.

Norma is survived by her husband of 58 years, Mr. Emory Donald Parcell of Goldbond, her children, Cynthia Lyn Broyles and husband, Paul of Peterstown, WV., Steven P. Parcell and wife, Debi of Goldbond and Michael W. Parcell and wife, Melissa of Pearisburg. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Tankersly of Floyd and numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. The burial will take place in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 5 – 7 P.M. at Kendall Funeral Home.
