Parcell, Betty Sadler

Betty Jane Sadler Parcell, 85, of White Gate, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 5, 2015, at her home. She was born July 29, 1930, at Thessalia, the daughter of the late Andrew & Tennie Sadler.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Sadler; and two sisters, Ruth Sadler and Nannie Mae Caldwell.

Surviving is her loving husband and best friend of 63 years, John Dewey Parcell, White Gate; three daughters and spouses, Betty Ellen Hollandsworth and Laura Sue and Phillip Brookman, all of Peterstown, W.Va., and Martha and Danny Reynolds, Hiwassee, Va.; two grandsons, Tracy and Bryan Riddle, both of Richmond; a granddaughter, Tennie Dicken, Peterstown, W.Va.; special great-grandson, Michael Painter; along with eight additional great-grandchildren; very special friends, Mrs. Evelyn Dorsa and Anna Baublitz.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, with the Rev. Amy Bartee officiating. Burial will follow in the Walkers Creek Cemetery, White Gate. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 7, 2015, at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate.
