Pannell, Frank E.

Frank Elbert Pannell, 80, of Radford, Va., passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007.

He retired from Northwestern Steel and Wire Company and was a veteran in both the United States Navy and the United States Army having served during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille B. Pannell. Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Pannell, of Rochelle, Ill., and Ilaine Jessup and her husband, Thomas, of Yorkville, Ill.; two sisters, Annie Clayton, of Richmond, and Ethyl Croy, of Christiansburg; and a brother, Thomas J. Pannell, of Shawsville.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Ersel Alderman officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct Military graveside Rites.
