Palmer, Jr., Philip Anderson “Andy”

Philip Anderson “Andy” Palmer, Jr., age 63 of Wayne, Oklahoma, died Sunday October 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 17, 1949 in Roanoke, and was the son of the late Velva Riggs Palmer and Philip Anderson Palmer, Sr. Andy was a retired Tech Sergeant of the U.S. Air Force with 22 years of service as a Dental Technician. He served in Fairbanks, Alaska, Crete Greece, Wiesbaden, Germany and retired in Lubbock, Texas. After retirement, he worked as a transportation officer with Riverwind. He is survived by two sons: Philip A. Palmer, III of Beaufort, SC and Michael T. Palmer of Wichita Falls, TX, one daughter, Rebecca H. Tellez of Wichita Falls, TX, one brother, James E. Palmer of Raleigh, NC, and 13 grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday October 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cullen Cemetery in Charlotte County with the Rev. John D. Riggs officiating. A visitation will be held Sunday from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home in Appomattox.
