Palmer, James Randal

James Randal (Randy) Palmer, 55, of Dublin, Va., died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at his home. He was born in Pulaski on October 17, 1953, and was the son of the late Guthrie J. “Gus” Palmer Jr. and Stella Hylton Palmer.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Hughes Palmer, of Dublin; daughter and son-inlaw, Cindy and Travis Estes, of Madison, Va.; son, Ric Palmer and Loren Hess, of Pulaski; granddaughters, Logyn Estes and Marcie Estes, both of Madison, Va.; and brothers, Guthrie J. “John” Palmer Ill and Becky Palmer, of Orlando, Fla., and Robert W. “Bob” and Faye Palmer, of Midlothian, Va.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009, from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lindsay Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be held on Thursday evening, April 23, 2009, from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
