palmer_dale_elaineDale Elaine Palmer, 49, of 407 Lower Pine St., Princeton, W.Va., formerly of Pulaski, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 2, 2011. She was born January 3, 1962, to Chanie Trueheart and the late James Finley Sr. Dale was presently a student at Phoenix University online with prospects of obtaining a better job in the workforce. Her previous jobs were cashier and cook, and what a cook she was. Her two children and four grandchildren were her life. She was preceded in death by her father, James Finley Sr.; one brother, James W. Finley Jr.; and one nephew, Derrick Hunter. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Walter Palmer Sr., of Princeton, W.Va.; her mother and father, George and Chanie Trueheart, of Pulaski; one daughter, Ebony Finley, of Pulaski; one son, Phillip M. Finley, of Danville; five sisters, Sheila “Sissy” Finley, Wanda Mae Finley, Robin (David) Hunter, all of Pulaski, Joyce Finley, of Dublin, and Carolyn Porter, of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Jake Trueheart. “Diamond Granny” also leaves her four precious grandchildren, Jakari, Amareanna, JasmaRhea and Mikayla; two stepsons, Michael Palmer, of Princeton, W.Va., and Walter Palmer Jr., of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Angela Palmer and Paula Carter (Kenneth), of Columbus, Ohio; aunts, Mary Willis, of Columbus, Ohio, Lucinda Baldwin and Annie Finley, of Pulaski, Eva Trueheart, of Draper; uncle, Wilbert Hunter, of Pulaski; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at First Baptist Church, Magazine Street, Pulaski, with the Rev. James Crosier officiating. Viewing will begin one hour before the service. McConnell Funeral Home of Bluefield is serving the Palmer Family.
