Pack, Violet May

Violet May Pack, 83, of Floyd, Va., died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at her home. She was born in Ghent, W.Va., on July 2, 1927, to the late Nathan and Dollie Odell Dandall Woods. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Allen Bryant, of Riner, Phyllis and Charles Lutz, of Christiansburg, Alice and Wayne Bishop, of Floyd, and Peggy and Roger Thomas, of Maryland; son and daughterin-law, Bobby and Kay Pack, of Floyd; five sisters, Hilda Davis, Reba Davis, Elma Osborne, Judy Williams, and Virginia Williams; two brothers, Marvin Martin and Alvie Martin, all of West Virginia; 14 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; and 11 greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Akers and Roger Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, February 24, 2011, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va., 540-552-3211.
