Pack, Cora Oveter

Cora Elizabeth Oveter McDaniel Pack, was born in Christiansburg, Va. on June 29, 1924, the fifth child of the late Everette J. and Olivia Lewis McDaniel. She departed this life on Monday, January 8, 2018.

In addition to her parents, Cora was preceded in death by her husband of 60 ½ years, William Waymon Pack; her seven siblings, Aileen Redmond, Lewis McDaniel, Mary Nottage, Ethel Eaves, Walter McDaniel, Kathryn Smith and Lillian McDaniel.

She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy her children, Olivia Ann Pack (John T. Turner) and Waymon Rodney Pack (Suzie Pack). In addition to her two children she was ‘mother’ to many more. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Angela Delores, Waymon Fred and Pamela Elizabeth. She was Nana to so many more. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Rosalie McDaniel.

A Celebration of Cora’s Life will be Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the First Baptist Church, 555 West Rock Road, Radford, VA. Family visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with service following at noon.
