Helen Louise Osborne, 75, of Willow Street in Narrows, departed this life on Thursday evening, July 19, 2007 at Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg after a long illness.

Born in Montcalm, W.Va. on June 21, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Charles T. and Annie Kate Lucas Manning. She was baptized a member of Olean Church of The Brethren and was retired from the Celanese Celco Plant in Narrows after over twenty years service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul R. Osborne; sisters, Sarah Pippin and Virgie Snider; and a brother, Charles Manning. Helen leaves to cherish her memory a son and daughter in-law, Paul Dale and Diane R. Osborne of Eggleston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Arthur Brown of Narrows and Peggy and Dennis Perdue of Christiansburg; two brothers, Dewey F. Manning of Goldbond and Ricky Manning of Pembroke; two sisters, Cardella Brown of Dublin and Ella Mae Day of Goldbond; a special sister, Charlotte Fields of Pearisburg; six grandchildren, Annissa Dudding, Kimberly Bray, Rusty Carter, Nicholas Dale Osborne, Alexis Arlene Osborne, and Katelyn Diane Osborne; six great grandchildren, Steven Michael Sessor, Taylor Paul Dudding, Adrianna Susanne Carter, Tyler Lathan Bray, Savannah Paulette Carter, and Isaac Russell Carter; and a special friend, Jo Blaker of Narrows.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday July 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
