Osborne, Blake Alan

Blake Alan Osborne, 19, of Dublin, Va., passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.

Born October 26, 1987 in Montgomery County, he is the son of Pascal Alan and Yvonne Nester Osborne. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Warner Johnson Osborne and maternal grandmother, Treva Ross Nester.

He was a member of the New Dublin Presbyterian Church, Dublin. He was attending New River Community College and working full-time at the Fontaine Modification Company (Dublin). He was an avid fisherman, loved to cook and was a past member of the Boy Scout Troops #45 and #100. He was a 2006 graduate of Pulaski County High School.

Surviving are his parents, Pascal Alan and Yvonne Nester Osborne of Dublin; paternal grandmother, Louise Peterson Osborne of Dublin; maternal grandfather, Roy Lee Nester and wife, Goldie Nester, of Dublin; fiancee, Katlyn Lane Hundley of Radford; aunts and uncles, Brenda and Kevin Hurst of Dublin, Tammy and Roger Carpenter of Christiansburg, Va. and Jeff and Michelle Osborne of Pembroke, Va.; cousins, Carri Beth Bowyer, Alexandra Hurst, Meaghan Headen, Heather Osborne and Hayden Carpenter; and special cousin, Steven Blake Steffey.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the Dublin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Rowland, Rev. Rusty Whitener, the Rev. Michael Blouse and the Rev. Jean Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the New Dublin Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dublin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, October 23, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dublin United Methodist Church, 424 East Main Street, Dublin.
