Oliver, Georgia Fern

Georgia Fern Oliver, age 82, of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Oliver was born in Oklahoma on October 12, 1932 to Frank and Lexie Giddens Johnson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Oliver.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Chuck Jenson of Simi Valley, California; son Walter Dale Oliver of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Ryan Oliver Hickey; Robert Oliver Hickey; Christine and Steven Munson; Charles and Natasa Jenson; two great-grandchildren; sisters Marilyn Byrd of Franklin, California; Joe Johnson of Houston, Texas.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Darry Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
