Olinger, Kathy Hughett

Kathy Marie Hughett Olinger, 52, of Dublin, Va., gained her wings March 5, 2020, at her home, with her soul mate, Rogelio, and her family by her side.

She was born in Wythe County April 23, 1967. Her parents are Daniel “Danny” and Dana Smith Hughett of Barren Springs, Va. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Lynette Foutz; paternal grandparents, Albert and Rachel Hughett, and maternal grandparents, Estel and Dolly Gravley.

Surviving are mother, Ruby Gravley Marshall, Georgia; husband, Rogelio Alvarado; son, Brandon Foutz; stepson, Nemesio “Nimo” Alvarado; stepdaughter, Chelli Alvarado; step-brother, John Marshall, Georgia; step-sisters, Samantha and Jessie, Georgia; grandchildren, Logan, Shelby, Zoey Foutz, Jocelyn, Jace, Cole Alvarado, Adrian, Linda Alvarado, Indiana, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special aunt and friend, Phyllis Hanks.

Memorial services are Saturday, March 14, 11 a.m., from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mike Ingo officiating. Special memories are being presented by Lee Bentley. Visitation is Saturday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
