Donatus Ohanehi, born October 12, 1949, was called home to his Lord on April 14, 2022. He was a research scientist and instructor at Virginia Tech in in several Engineering departments. He had also worked as a Senior Engineer for Kollmorgen Corporation.

He was born in Nigeria and came to the United States to attend college. He earned his PhD at Virginia Tech in 1980 and remained in Blacksburg. He was a dedicated Christian and had many close friends. His beloved family grieves their loss but rejoices that he is he is at rest with God.

His sisters Anastasia Nwamarabia Okechukwu, Perpetua Ngozi Iloduba, Mary Bernadette Ifunanya Ohanehi are in Nigeria and his brother, Emmanuel Emeka Ohanehi is in Qatar.

There will be a private burial. A memorial gathering is planned for this summer.
