Ogle, Ruth Dobyns

Ruth Eleanor Dobyns Ogle, age 89, of Blacksburg died Friday, January 30, 2015 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Montgomery County on April 25, 1925 to the late Otey L. and Lillian Price Dobyns.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ray Ogle; son, Larry W. Ogle; daughter, Cynthia O. Dixon; brother, Thurman L. Dobyns; sister, Louise Hypes. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randall D. and Cathy Ogle of Powhatan; son-in-law, Bobby Dixon of Smith Mountain Lake; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Elaine Dobyns of Ellett; grandchildren, Kelly Shelton, Shannon Mann, Kasey Ogle, Joe Ogle; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Ansley officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
