Odell, Martha Sue Mickey

On January 17, 2008, Martha Sue Mickey O’Dell went home to be with the Lord Jesus. She was born in Pulaski on October 1, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus Henry Mickey and Martha Robertson Mickey of Pulaski.

She was a lifelong resident of Pulaski and very active in the community. She was a lifelong active member of the Bob White Boulevard Church of God in Pulaski, where she was a beloved member of the choir.

She leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Ranny E. O’Dell Sr. She also leaves behind two daughters, one son, and ten grandchildren, Robert and LaFon O’Dell Burton, their children, Robert Burton Jr., Brittany Farlow, Cameron and Lauryn Farlow, Robin, Brandon and Sydney Burton; Scott and Leslie O’Dell Dawson, their children, Brock and Haley Dawson; Ranny Jr. and Tammie O’Dell, their children, Aubrey, Ranny Ill, and Pierce O’Dell, all of Pulaski. She also leaves behind two sisters and three brothers, Wayne and Diane Mickey Alexander, of Pulaski, Carolyn Mickey Hodges, of Pulaski, Roy (Tucker) Mickey, of Pulaski, Marcus and Teresa Mickey, of Mount Airy, N.C., and Colin Mickey, of Pulaski. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Bob White Boulevard Church of God Choir. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2008, from the Bob White Blvd. Church of God, Pulaski with the Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Visiting will be Sunday afternoon from 2 until 4 p.m. from the church. Due to the weather, burial will be at a later date from the O’Dell Cemetery, Hiwassee.
