O’Dell, Donald Lee

Donald Lee O’Dell, 69, of 3444 Lake Ridge Drive, Pulaski, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born February 15, 1937 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Shirley Lee O’Dell and Thelma Jewell Dye O’Dell. One son, Donald Lee O’Dell, Jr. also preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church, Radford. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Surviving are his daughters, Robin Lynn Hedge and husband, Donald, of Shiloh Community, and Renee Leona Campbell of Radford; four grandchildren ; seven great grandchildren; brothers, James Richard O’Dell and wife, Joan, of Pulaski, Larry Leon O’Dell and wife, Linda, of Salem, and Roger Dale O’Dell and wife, Sherry, of North Carolina; sister, Aletta Sharon Crawford and husband, Charles (C.L.), of Stephens City, Va.; special aunt, Ethel Dye of Clothier, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Gethsemane Baptist Church, Radford with the Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin with full military honors conducted at the gravesite by the Pulaski V.F.W. Post 1184.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gethsemane Baptist Church, Radford. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
