Edward “Ed” Elmer Nuckols Jr. passed away unexpectedly at his home in Blacksburg, Va. on Monday, November 8, 2021; he was 74 years of age.

Predeceased by his parents, Ed is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Erika Leigh and Larry Harrison; and granddaughter, Tara Turpin, all of Blacksburg. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Diane Nuckols, sisters and brothers-in law, Sylvia Seavey and Patty and Billy Dove, all of Christiansburg; and Carolyn and Roger Ratcliffe of Pilot.

Ed retired from Federal Mogul and was a veteran of the U.S. Army stationed in Okinawa Japan. He completed his military service stateside in California where he was honorably discharged in 1971.

Ed enjoyed and spent a lot of his time, before and after retirement, playing golf.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Rd, Dublin, Va.
