James Franklin Nuckols, age 75 of Dublin passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in the New River Valley Medical Center. Born October 30, 1937 in Wythe County, he was the son of the late Claude Nuckols and Hazel Arnold Nuckols. His wife, Mary Yvonne “Bonnie” Blevins Nuckols, one Sister, Mary; one brother, Edward “Bud” and one Granddaughter, Ashley Nuckols also preceded him in death.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and Air Force. Mr. Nuckols was retired from Lanford Brothers Construction Company as a bridge foreman. In retirement, he was a motor carrier for the Southwest Times and worked for GCA Services at TMD Friction. A carpenter by trade, he loved making things for his family and helping friends with different projects.

Surviving – Daughters- Mary White and husband, Richard-Dublin, Teresa Nuckols and Belinda Nuckols-both of Dublin. Grandchildren- JR Montgomery and wife, Ashley Katie Quesenberry and Husband, Scott. A’me Baber and Adam Baber Great Grandchildren- Cage Quesenberry, Delaney Montgomery, Bentley Quesenberry. Two Brothers and Four Sisters-

Funeral services will be held Friday 7:00 p.m., November 23, 2012 at the Dublin Church of God with Pastor Michael Collins officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00p.m. at the Dublin Church of God. Graveside services will be held Saturday 9:30 p.m. at the Old Dublin Cemetery with the V.F.W. Post #1184 conducting military honors.
