Nuckols, Claude Clayton

Claude Clayton Nuckols, age 95 of Dublin passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the Skyline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Floyd, Virginia. Born February 8, 1927 in Wythe County he was the son of the late Claude Lee Nuckols & Hazel Arnold Nuckols. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Myrtle Nuckols, sisters, Mary Duncan, Margaret Hurst and brothers, Edward E., James F. Nuckols and Eugene Nuckols.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served with the Seabees during World War II. Claude worked for Pulaski County for over 54 years.

He is survived by his

Daughter & Son-in-law – Brenda & John Reichner – Dublin

Son – Gary Nuckols – Dublin

Grandchildren – William Dean Reichner, Amy (Ben) Tickle, Donna (Jay) Shockley, Ashley (Zach) Sowers, Michael Thomas

Great Grandchildren – Dylan Reichner

Great Great Grandson – Jaxtyn Reichner

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM – Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Pastors Paige Wimberly & Bobby Ward officiating. Interment will follow at the Newbern Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Pulaski VFW Post #1184.

The family will receive friends one hour before service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
