Norris, Lena Mae White

Lena Mae White Norris, 90, of Hiwassee, Va., died on Sunday, July 28, 2013, in the Highland Ridge Nursing Home, Dublin, Va. Mae was born in Snowville, Va., on September 30, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Homer White and Lena Mazzie Dishon White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Norris; by a sister; and by two brothers.

Mae was a member of the Snowville Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Marla Bergeron, of Gonzales, La.; brothers, Burman White, of Radford, and Cecil White, of Salem; grandchildren, Aaron Bergeron and Samuel Bergeron, both of Gonzales, La.; and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013, from the Snowville Baptist Church with the Rev. Neal Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visiting will be held on Friday at the church where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va., 540-980-2600.
