Neukirch, Frances Alicia Paul

Frances Alicia Hall Neukirch, 86, of Floyd, and Huddleston, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, in Floyd. Mrs. Neukirch was born June 4, 1923, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late George Hall and Alicia Cashen Hall.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Fredrick Neukirch; a daughter Barbara Polverari; and a grandson Kevin Polverari.

She is survived by seven daughters, Candace Coffin and husband Tom Simpson of Dugspur, Deirdre Abbey and husband Denny of Charlotte, NC, Jo Lesniak and husband Les of Santa Rosa, CA, Wendy Grudzien and husband Ed of Healdsburg, CA, Noreen Carvolth and husband Rick of Santa Rosa, CA, Virginia Neukirch and Fiance Larry Sisk of Floyd, Jamie Waters and husband Kevin of Fancy Gap; one son, Rob Neukirch and wife Michele of Floyd; one brother, George Hall of New London, NH; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church, Floyd, at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009. The Rite of Committal and graveside service will be at Resurrection Catholic Church, at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday Aug. 12, 2009, beginning in the Church.
