Nester, Talmadge Alvin

Talmadge Alvin Nester, 86, of Pulaski, passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 4, 2015. He was born on October 15, 1929 in Bedford, Ohio and was the son of the late Ota Lee Nester and Guida Ethel Dalton Nester.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Gail Nester and brothers, Kemel, Thedford, Doug and Cecil Nester. He served in the United States Army and was a building contractor by trade. He was founding member of the New Hope Baptist Church where he served in many ways.

Surviving is his wife, Elva June Nester; son, Allen Nester; sister, Virginia Smith; granddaughter, Isabella Grace Nester.

Funeral Services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2015 from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Rusty Spears officiating. Burial will be Monday, November 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. til the service hour at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
