Neice Sr., Ronald Wallace

Ronald Wallace Neice Sr., 68, of Pearisburg, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at LewisGale Pulaski Hospital in Pulaski. Mr. Neice was born in Newport News April 14, 1944, and was a son of the late Douglas Neice and Hazel Caudill Meadows Neice. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Ronald, Jerry, Roger, Darrell and Donald Neice. Mr. Neice was an Army Veteran, and a member of the Christ Fellowship in Pearisburg. He was also a member of the Pearisburg Volunteer Fire Department for over 44 years having been a past Secretary, Treasurer, Lieutenant, and Building Manager. He is survived by his wife of 48½ years, Deloris Reed Neice, of Pearisburg; one son, Ronald Wallace Neice Jr., of Peterstown, W.Va.; daughter, Teresa (Terry) N. Carbaugh and husband, David, of Shawsville; five brothers, Ferrell Douglas Neice, of Burnt Chimney, James Randall Neice, of Pearisburg, Danny Ray Neice, of Pearisburg, David Lynn Neice, of Princeton, W.Va., Anthony Eugene Neice, of Pearisburg; three sisters, Brenda N. Bowles, of Pearisburg, Lisa N. Mills, of Peterstown, Va., Michelle N. Lucas, of Pearisburg; six grandchildren, Alan-Michael Carbaugh, Patrick l. Carbaugh, C. Shaun Carbaugh, Zachary I. Neice, Austin H. Neice and Jackson C. Neice. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012, at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Pastor Phil Vickers officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
