John Wayland Nash, Jr., 65, of 14 12th Street N.E., Pulaski, died Tuesday evening, December 4, 2007 in the Pulaski Community Hospital.

He was born in Pulaski on July 5, 1942 and was the son of the late John Wayland Nash, Sr. and Mary Virginia Jackson Nash. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Pulaski and was a former owner of the Virginia Block Company and was also a former manager of MacGill Village, Pulaski. He was a member of the Pulaski Elks Lodge and a former member of the Thornspring Golf Club. He was a graduate of Pulaski High School and he attended Ferrum College.

Surviving are his wife, Violet Powers Nash, Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Catherine and Mike Williams, Pulaski; sons and daughter-in-law, Greg and Missie Nash, Pulaski and John Wayland Nash, III, New York City; brothers and sistersin-law, Robert H. (Bobby) and Penny Nash, Pulaski and James William (Billy) and Tammy Nash, Greensboro, N.C.; granddaughters, Ericka Nash, Hanley Nash and Madison Catherine Williams; grandsons, Timothy Williams, Jr. and Ian Williams; faithful dog, Katy; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Friday, December 7, 2007 at 1 p.m. from the First Presbyterian Church, Pulaski with the Rev. Jeff Kackley officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be held Thursday evening, December 6, 2007 from Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O.
