Nance, Harry Estell

Harry Estell Nance, 82, of Ballard, W.Va. died Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg, Va.

Born July 13, 1924 at Narrows, Va., he was a son of the late Laura Elkins and Earl Nance. Mr. Nance was a retired employee of Celanese Corporation with 46 years service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Carter Nance in 2003; a grandson, Kelly Day; a son-in-law, Eddie Mann and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son, Johnnie Nance and wife Rosemary; three daughters, Billie Jo Day and husband Bobby, Bonnie Huffman and husband Buddy, all of Ballard, W.Va., Patricia Mann of Salem, Va.; two sisters, Juanita Deweese and husband Marvin of Pulaski, Va. and Annie Perdue of Pearisburg, Va.; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, with Rev. Otuce Huffman Jr. and Rev. Willis Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Memorial Gardens, Lindside, WV.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2007 at the funeral home. Tony Wickline, Ricky Day, Mark Huffman, Estell Wickline, Marty Nance and Eddie Mann will serve as pallbears. Arrangements by Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV.
