Wilma Hudgins Myers, of Blacksburg, died, Saturday, December 31, 2005, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Christiansburg, Va. to the late Castle and Ina Pugh Hudgins of Radford.

She was also preceded in death her husband, M. Wayne (Whitey) Myers; a son Michael Myers; a daughter Pamela Myers; a sister Ellen Young, of Lynchburg, Va.; a brother Sonny Hudgins, of Radford; father and mother-in-law Oakley and Lillian Myers; Jack Myers, of Richmond, Va.; Jolene Fisher, Roanoke, Va.; Stuart Elam, Chase City, Va.; Minor Vaught, Durham, NC; and Milton (Doc) Young, Lynchburg, Va.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, M. Wayne Myers, Jr. and Amy B. Myers, of Blacksburg; grandsons, M. Wayne Myers, III and Matthew Myers; sister, Margaret Elam, of Chase City, Va.; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Mildred Hudgins, of Radford, Clarice Vaught, of Durham, NC, Ronnie Myers, of Newport, Va., Dr. Steve and Patricia Irvin, of Galax, Va.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Harry McCoy for his care, to the hospice nurses Pam and Nancy for the loving care shown , to her other caregivers Betty Breeding, Sharon Duncan, Linda Hypes thank you for your compassion and loving care ; very special family friends, Jeanette P. Price, Jerry, Kim, Amanda and Ben Johnston.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park, Fairlawn. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad 200 Progress Street, NE, Blacksburg, Va. 24060, Blacksburg Fire Department 2700 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Monday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Va.
