Myers, Jr., William Haven

William Haven (Bill) Myers, Jr. of Pearisburg died Saturday morning September 23, 2006 at his home on Eagle Drive. Born in Christiansburg on March 22, 1948, he was a son of the late William Haven Myers, Sr. and Elizabeth Sarver Myers Bryant. He was a veteran of the US Army, Vietnam Era and a member of American Legion Post 68 in Narrows. He was preceded in death by his father, his step-father Marion Bryant, and a brother Donald Wayne Myers.

He is survived by his wife and caregiver Cathy J. Thompson; his daughter and son-in-law Beth M. and David “DL” Robertson of Pearisburg; his mother, a sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Lee Cumbee of Pembroke; four grandchildren Kyle, Korey, Katherine, and Kristina Myers; three nieces Jessica Myers, Tammy Kidd (Danny), Michelle Collins (Allen); his special friends Bobby Cumbee, Buck Gilmer and Brenda Hopkins; Charles and Phyllis Fleeman: and his special pets Princess and Misty.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following at Clover Hollow Cemetery at Newport. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the funeral Tuesday morning.
