Mustard, Susan Carol

amem_quilting.jpgSusan (Sue) Carol Mustard, 59, of the Bear Springs Community, Pearisburg, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 15, 2012, at her home. She was born May 28, 1952, in Roanoke, the daughter of the late Posey and Katherine Rebecca Pittman Ferrell.

She was a member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church. She loved cooking, sewing, gardening, planting flowers and quilting.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, James (Jimmie) Wallace Mustard; two sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Mustard, Pearisburg; David and Shirley Mustard, Pulaski; three brothers, Robert Paitsell, Evans, Ga.; Joe Ferrell, Narrows; Bill Ferrell, Willis; four sisters and brothers- in-law, Tina Ferrell, Pearisburg; Bonnie and Ronnie Brown, Christiansburg; Kathy and Joseph Price, Pembroke; Karen and Don Hanson, Christiansburg; one granddaughter, Susan Marie Mustard; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Basil and Hazel Mustard.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial in the Hamblin Cemetery, Bear Springs. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday, January 17, after 2 p.m., and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Green Valley U.M.C., Relay For Life or the American Diabetes Association .
