Antha Albert Munsey, 91, of Pearisburg, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 in Rock Hill, S.C. Mrs. Munsey was born on September 22, 1920 in Narrows, Va. Besides her husband, Charles Andrew Munsey, she was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Albert Thompson, two sisters, Virginia Woolridge, Dawn Sadler; two brothers, Bill Albert and Carson Albert.

Mrs. Munsey was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Anne S. Holiman Sunday School Class and was on the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Munsey was also a retired employee of the Celanese Corp. in Narrows, with 45 years of service. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and her family was her life.

She is survived by one daughter, Jennie Ashworth and husband, David, of Rock Hill, S.C.; two grandchildren, Todd Ashworth, of Rock Hill, S.C. and Sara Robinson and her husband, Joel, of Simpsonville, S.C.; one sister, Etha Dean T. Hines, of Lindside, W.Va.; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 3 p.m. at the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with the Rev. Gary Poff officiating. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 2:45 p.m.
