Muncy, Linda Welch

Linda Welch Muncy of Dublin, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 7th 2014. She was born on July 12th 1941. Linda was a beloved wife to Leon Muncy for thirty years. They were soul mates and constant companions.

She was the greatest mother to three children and three step-children, Contessa Muncy and Cain Hurst, Kip Fagg and Marsha Bailey, Heather Fagg and Jeff Sadler, Peggy Hopkins and Johnny Back, Bo and Candy Muncy, and Sandy and Jeff Martin. She was a wonderful grandmother to eight grandchildren, Tabatha Gravley, Amber LaRue, Sunni Edwards, Kansas Fagg, Tori Hopkins, Bucky Muncy, Julia Hopkins, and Kasey Martin. She was looking forward to meeting her newest grandchild in June, Caisen Hurst. She was a wonderful great-grandmother to five children, Taryn Gravley, Jade Gravley, Lexi Gravley, Steven Timmons, and Cashius Edwards. Linda also has three brothers, Buddy Welch, Ronnie Welch, Gary Welch and one sister, Nancy Johnston.

Linda touched many lives during her life on earth through her kind words and beautiful examples. She listened to her husband, Leon play the guitar and sing gospel music. Leon will miss his sweetheart. Linda loved her dogs, Diamond, Elvis, and Buddy. She enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars with her beloved husband. She was the sweetest person you would ever want to meet. She will be remembered fondly by so many.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Sarah and Arnold Welch and one brother J.C. Welch.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 10th at 1:00pm in Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin with Rev. Jim Alley officiating.
