Beloved sister and aunt, Mary Pauline (Polly) Mullins, 91, of Narrows, Va. departed this life on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek.

She was born in Pardee, Va. on August 10, 1916 and was the daughter of the late Jesse J. and Martha Lewis Mullins. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robia Mullins and Paul Mullins; and one sister, Bea Woolwine.

She was an employee of Roses Store in Narrows and Leggett’s in both Pearisburg and Christiansburg. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Narrows. Polly will be remembered for her fine needlework and love for her family.

She is survived by three sisters, Helen Thompson of Pearisburg, Ruth Burleson of Fort Thomas, Ky., and Aletta LaCarter of Columbia, S.C.; a brother, Roger (Butch) Mullins and wife, Pat, of Pearisburg; a sister-in-law, Geneva (Jean) Mullins of Narrows; and by loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with the Rev. Wayne Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends in the Chapel on Saturday from 11 a.m. until just prior to the service.
