Mullins, Earl F.

Earl F. Mullins, age 80, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born August 11, 1939, in Haysi, VA, he was the son of the late Preston and Birdie Elswick Mullins. Earl was a member of the Peterstown Missionary Baptist Church and worked as a self-employed truck driver. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and participated in many different Veterans events.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Bill, Burns, Roy, Junior, Arnold, and his twin, Fearl; one sister, Cassie Damiano; and stepmother, Lora Ferguson Mullins. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Dixie L. Ellis Mullins; three daughters, Amy Martin and husband Darryl and Robin Mann and husband Sean, all of Peterstown, WV, and Jennifer Swetnam of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Britta Woodyard and husband Ben, Kara Reed and husband Derrick, Ian Huntley, and Zion and McKinley Mann; great grandchildren, Hudson, Easton, and Emerson Woodyard (on her way), and Karsyn and Ryker Reed; one brother, Mackie Mullins and wife Cheryl of Narrows, VA; one sister, Shirley Burson of Pahrump, NV; two step-brothers, Andy Wimmer and wife Gracie and Bill Wimmer, all of Narrows, VA; one step-sister, Patricia Hare of Richmond, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2019, at the Peterstown Missionary Baptist Church in Peterstown, WV, with Rev. Jon Jennings officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, VA. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at the church.
