Christine Showers Muench, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Muench; daughter, Marjorie Carleton; granddaughters, Rachel and Julia Carleton; and their father, Dr. Steven Carleton.
