In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Benjamin Morrison, daughter, Sharon Lee and a sister, Swanee Smoot.

Left behind to cherish her memory are a son, Randall Morrison and wife Debbie, daughter, Cynthia Wyland and husband Kent, grandchildren, Paul (Alleta) Morrison, Hether (Bob) Ballard, Amanda Wyland and Mary Catherine Wyland, several great grandchildren, two sisters, Mabel Fleece and Bonnie Stocks, two special friends, Louise Pettrey, who she went shopping with and shared many meals and Marie Robertson who when visiting Mary at the nursing home always had prayer with her and Marie would sing the old hymns that they both grew up with. Mary and her sister Mabel grew us on the banks of the New River in Monroe County, WV in a two story log home. Mary never ran out of stories about her childhood, whether it was about her and Mabel’s adventures on or in the river, out in the woods or their mile long walk to the one room school they attended or the many different people who walked by their house looking for work. Mary loved the Lord, she had prayer with many friends, and she felt loved and gave love.

She leaves behind so many friends, her church family at Pearisburg Christ Fellowship. Mary touched many lives. We, Mary’s family want to thank each and every person who came to visit Mary. For every prayer that was prayed, for every gift, whether it was a card, picture, flowers, food or candy. Mary enjoyed them all. God Bless You All. Many thanks to the staff at Heritage Hall – Rich Creek. Mary said it took a special kind of person to work in a place with so many people with special needs. God Bless You All. Many thanks to: Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Giles Community, Radford and Hospice. The staff always took great care of Miss Mary.
