Morris, Wallace Eugene

Wallace Eugene Morris, 92, of Dublin, Va., was given his wings and entered Heaven’s Gates on Sunday, October 18, 2009. He set a wonderful example for everyone of a good, kindhearted, Christian family man. He was born on April 6, 1917, in Giles County to the late Charles and Roxie Morris.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 70 years, Clydie Duncan Morris, of Dublin; three sons, Charles B. Morris and wife, Katherine, of Dublin, and Paul H. Morris and wife, Joyce, and Larry W. Morris and wife, Lisa, all of Radford; a daughter, Connie Morris Lytton, of Dublin; a brother, Charles H. Morris Jr. of Moneta; five grandchildren, Kathy Warden, of Dublin, Barry Morris, of Radford, Barbie Shedd, of North Carolina, Kerri Morris, of Christiansburg, and Kim Comer, of Radford; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the West Radford Church of God. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. James Walker and the Rev. K.B. Arnold officiating. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
