Robert Lee Morris, 83, of Radford, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007. He was a lineman for the City of Radford and a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mellie Sue Quesenberry Morris. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Jackie and Kenny Perdue of Floyd County, and Sherry Yopp Long of Dublin; a son, Robert “Larry” Morris of Radford; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Jane Ellen Morris of Dublin, and David and Mary Jane Morris of Radford; grandchildren, Kim and Eric Woody, and Tammy Long; great-grandchildren, Brady Woody, Jaimie Blackard and Michael Franks; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Arthur Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Beulah House, Inc., 3873 Dry Valley Road, Radford, Virginia 24141. The family would like to send a special thanks to St. Albans Hospital for the wonderful care that was given to him during his stay.
