Morris, Mildred Crabtree

Mildred Naomi Crabtree Morris, 96 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Richfield Nursing Home in Salem. Mrs. Morris was born on February 26, 1920 in Tazewell, VA and was a daughter of the late Henry Philip Crabtree and Martie Ellen Lawson.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Charles Edward Morris, two brothers, Williams Lee Crabtree, Henry Philip Crabtree, Jr., and three sisters, Edith C. Johnston, Marguerite C. Leech and Thelma C. Booth. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Narrows.

She is survived by two sons, Eddie Morris and wife Carol of Lakeland, FL, Philip Morris and wife Elsie of Salem, one daughter, Debbie M. Gusler and husband Rodney of Wendall, NC, eight grandchildren, Stacy Poore, Kindra Steadham, Toree Dunleavy, Christi Boggs, Becky Rector, Stephanie Wilkes, Jason Gusler, Melissa Proctor, and eleven great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00pm at the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating.
