Morris, Emma Meredith

Emma Christine Meredith Morris, age 80, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Monday, May 1, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Giles, County, VA on January 18, 1937, to the late Robert Lee and Hattie Louise Vaught Meredith. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ronald A. Morris, of Roanoke, daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Doug Scott, of Salem, Pat and Gary Spivey, of Hampton, son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Wayne and Becky Morris, of Roanoke, grandchildren, Heather Spivey, Brooke and Trae Rush, Chad Morris, and MaKena Morris, great-grandchildren, Noah Rush and Emma Rush, one sister, Louise McClaugherty, of Blacksburg; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Emily Judith and Joel Hart, Mary Ellen and Richard Graham, Richard Smith, and Marie E. Morris; special caregiver, Loretta Landes, and a special caregiver and daughter-in-law, Becky Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will conducted Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Whittaker and Rev. Kevin Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in the McCoy Family Cemetery, McCoy. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm Thursday at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
