Clyde R. Morris, 80, of Hiwassee, the Snowville Community of Montgomery County, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at the New River Valley Medical Center. He was a retired electrical engineer with Hercules having over 35 years of service, and he owned and operated Morris Repairs and was a gentleman farmer on his family farm until he passed. He was a member of the Radford Worship Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Pendleton and Almy Phillips Morris. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dean Roop Morris; son and daughter-in- law, Danny and Lynn Morris, of Snowville; two daughters and son-in-law, Dianne Morris, of Snowville, and Becky and Brent Chitwood, of Royston, Ga.; five sisters and brothers- in-law, Mary Lee Carroll, Ruth and Hassell Boothe, both of Christiansburg, Edith and Theodore Marshall, of Radford, Nancy and Rodney Shelburne, of Snowville, and Judy and Joe Wade, of Childress, three sisters-in-law, Ilene and Bill Crigler, Evelyn Lasher, and Frankie Bowyer; four grandchildren, Abbi Jenkins, Miriam Wood, Fielding Morris and Whitney Morris; and four great- grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at the Radford Worship Center in Radford with Dr. Hal Adams and the Rev. Glennard Quesenberry officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the Radford Worship Center.
