Linda “Carol” Moser Morris, 80 of Pembroke, VA departed this life June 10, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Virginia on December 17, 1942 she was a daughter of the late Alton Edgar Moser and Ruby Rye Moser.

Carol was most proud of her family. You could often find her loving on them by cooking one of the meals that she so loved to cook. If ever visiting her home you could also find her playing solitaire or reading a good book.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Lively, and Barbara Deweese; brothers, Jerry, Frank, Roy, and Lee Moser; and brother-in-law, Charles Deweese.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her husband, Benny Morris; son, Randy Morris (Shelley Atkins) of Christiansburg; daughter, Deana Garcia (Moises) of Pembroke; daughters by heart, Amy Reynolds, and Susan McDaniel; grandchildren, Mikaela Blankenship, Caleb Williams, Aidan Williams, Mia Garcia, and Naomi Garcia; grandchildren by heart, Josh McDaniel, Matthew McDaniel, Niki Reynolds and Ben Reynolds; brother, Eddie Moser (Dixie) of Pearisburg; sister, Bonnie McCoy (James Hale) of Pembroke; special caregiver, Crystal Foster Coleman; and several nieces and nephews, some of which she raised as her own.

The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice, and Centerwell Home Health for the care and love they have given Carol.

A celebration of life will be conducted on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Steve Darr of Pembroke First United Methodist Church officiating in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Kendall Funeral Home.
