Lloyd Terry Morehead, 62, of McCoy, Va., died on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at Montgomery Regional Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Christiansburg, Va., on March 29, 1948, to the late Lloyd Thomas and Julia Pauline McCoy Morehead. Terry was employed with Electro Tec, Kadon, Moog Components Group and was a Quality Engineer with 43 years of service. Terry was a member of the Long Shop-McCoy Fire and Rescue with 45 years of service, serving as Fire Chief, President, and Secretary. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and was a avid model railroad fan. He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Bowyer Morehead, of McCoy; one son, Keith Morehead and fiancée, Crystal Burgess, of McCoy; one sister-in-law, Brenda Bowyer, of Radford; and two devoted Labrador retrievers, Cloe Isabella, and Maggie Mae. Funeral Services will be conducted 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James O. Flaugher officiating.
