Moore, Sr., James (Pete)

James Edward (Pete) Moore, Sr., 88, of Dublin, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and retired brakeman with N & W Railroad. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Nunley Moore, daughter, Susan M. Hafey, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. His passion in life was telling others about Christ. Survivors include his son and favorite daughter-in-law, James E. (Jimmy), Jr. and Pamela Moore of Dublin; sister, Pauline Duncan of Radford; grandchildren, Matthew, Jared and Marina; and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to his three caregivers, Jerry and Becky Peterson and Persphone Montgomery. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. James Walker officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The Moore family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
