Moore, Larry Dale

Larry Dale Moore, age 64, of Blacksburg died Friday, May 13, 2016, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on February 17, 1952 to the late Truman and Pearl Hale Moore. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Tooter Hodge.

Larry enjoyed fishing, gardening, and gambling. He is survived by his wife, Jewell Hodge Moore; daughters and son-in-law, Barbara and Duane Cameron, Kimberly Moore; Granddaughter, who affectionally called him Poppy, Grace Cameron; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Nancy Moore; sisters and brother-in-law, Becky and Ronnie Alls, Linda Doss and friend, Reggie All; mother-in-law, Dorothy C. Hodge; brother-in-law, Richard Hodge; favorite niece, Karen Cook; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, the Hamlins, the Perdues, the Slussers, Wayne Jackson, and Jeff Shelor.

Special thanks to Dr. Scott Jamison, Dr. Dawn Fouse and staff as well as the ER and ICU staff at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Hodge officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Wednesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, VA.
