Moore, Henry Lee

Henry Lee Moore, LTC, US Army Retired, 77, of Pembroke, died Sunday, August 27, 2006, at New River Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Hampton, Virginia on November 6, 1928 to the late Vivian Henry and Margaret Earp Moore. In death he joins his beloved wife, Louise “Jackie” Greaver Moore. He was a 1950 graduate of Virginia Tech and a devoted Hokie fan.

He is survived by his daughters, Vivien Moore Richardson, Montgomery, Ala., Vicky Moore of Pembroke.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henry L. Moore Endowment Virginia Tech Athletic Fund, P. O. Box 10307, Blacksburg, Va. 24062. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Va.
