kinkdae-garden-gateBetty Hinkley Moore, 68, of Radford, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Betty was born on March 14, 1946, to the late Warren and Mildred Fizer Hinkley. She retired from the Radford Pentecostal Holiness Church after serving nearly thirty years as its pastor. Saved at age twelve, she lived every day to serve the Lord with gladness and joy in her heart. She loved to help others and always put Christ first, others second, and herself third.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 47 years, Carlos Leo Moore; her sister, Barbara “Bobbi” Otey; and two brothers, Teddy and Marvin “Fuzzy” Hinkley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Tammy Moore and Marty and Tomissa Moore; her daughter and son-in-law, Fay and Fred “Boo” Hardin; a stepdaughter, Peggy Neece; sister-in-law, Marie Hinkley; brother-in-law, Andrew Otey, and her grandchildren, Logan, Amanda, Travis, Taylor, Trevor, Warren, Ashley, Nickolas, Emily, Jacob, Jeannie, Selena, and Edwin.

The family would like to thank Eddie and Marie Rupe for their kindness, help, and support as Betty’s special friends and caregivers.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014, at the Congregational Holiness Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday April 8, 2014, at the same location with Pastor Carl Paulley officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Christiansburg.
