Mooney Jr., Guy Elvin

Guy Elvin Mooney, Jr, 66, of 1114 Brookfield Avenue, Pulaski died early Friday morning January 16, 2009 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born in Bland County on March 28, 1942 and was the son of the late Guy Elvin Mooney, Sr. and Lou Emma Mooney. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Naomi “Tootsie” Phillips and a brother, Shelton Mooney.

He was a retired employee of Findley Industries, Dublin.

Surviving are his wife Rosa Lee Mooney; children Guy Ray Mooney and wife Edwina; Tony V. Mooney and wife Donna, stepchildren Louise Jones, Lynn Turner; grandchildren Jessie, Bradley, Tosha, Tony Lee and Jacob, step grandchildren Trisha, Trina, Jimmy, Amber Louise and Andrew, adopted grandchild Chevella Boothe; great grandchildren, Kylee, Dakota, Bradley, Jr., and Tony Lee Mooney, Jr; sister Barbara Robertson, and half-brother Silis Cox.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Monday from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
