Montague, Della Rose Echols

Della Rose Echols Montague, 88, of Hoges Chapel and Springfield, VA departed this life Friday, November 18, 2016 at her home in the loving care of her family. Born on September 10, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Carl Lamar Echols, Sr. and Lillian Porterfield Echols.

She was a member of Mt Lebanon United Methodist Church at Hoges Chapel and had been employed as a secretary at the Celanese Plant at Narrows. Della Rose was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Roma E. Echols and a brother Carl L Echols, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 66 years William M Montague; her daughters and sons-in-law Lynn and Arthur Mosteller of Vienna, and Lori and JB Sullivan of St Cloud FL; her grandchildren Sarah Mosteller, Anna Mosteller, Jeremy Mosteller and Thomas Mostellar; and her great-grandson Maverick Wiliam Mosteller.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Mt Lebanon United Methodist Church at Hoges Chapel with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
