Monoski Jr., Joseph Paul

Joseph Paul Monoski Jr., 66, of Pilot, formerly of Blacksburg, passed away October 1, 2013. Paul was born to Dorothy and Joseph Monoski Sr. on April 28, 1947, his mother’s birthday. He was a 1965 graduate of Blacksburg High School and 1970 graduate of Virginia Tech. Left to morn his loss are his friends from Blacksburg High School, the Class of 65. Special friends include Diane Jennelle Church, Brenda Webb Grant Richard Shelton, David Jones. Paul, being a long life bachelor, had many crushes but no great love affairs. Because of health issues in his later years, he had to have a caretaker. Beverly Martin took on that role. She was by his side for six years. He worked at Shelton and Walters for years selling clothing in Christiansburg. A sweet tribute was held by Beverly at the Park in Blacksburg. Paul loved his high school and the HOKIES. We sent him to heaven smiling and wearing his Hokie hat. Memorials may be made in his memory to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad.
